Can you remember a time before bomber jackets were everywhere? It's only when I remind myself that I realise it really wasn't very long ago that they were confined to fashion no man's land. Now you can barely move for padded khaki army jackets in the shops. Personally, I prefer a bomber that's a little less puffa and a little more chic.

This particular version is from Topshop Unique's A/W'12 collection (still my favourite ever Unique show). It's heavy and sturdy with a loose mannish fit and plenty of zips. In fact at first glance it's not that bomber-like at all. But I love how it adds a little bit of an urban edge to any look while still being great quality and super stylish. Oh, and warm too. What more could you want from a bomber, or indeed any jacket?
