today i love... cheerz polaroid 3000 box

cheerz polaroids

There's something special about actually holding a photo in your hand in this digital age. That's why instant prints like Polariod and Instax have taken on something of a cult status in recent years. But as you may know if you've looked into it, instant memories don't come cheap. Besides, in this age of taking 100 photos to get the perfect snap, having only one shot can result in wasting your precious film on a blurry finger-over-the-lens moment. Luckily, Cheerz has teamed up with Polaroid to give us the perfect solution, and they very kindly let me try it out. For £15 you can choose 18 of your existing photos to be printed on Polaroids, complete with that unmistakable authentic sepia tone, and shipped out to you. You can even choose to have text printed on the bottom if you like (I kept mine blank to be scribbled on in Sharpie instead). The perfect compromise between old and new, if you ask me.

today i'm wearing...

Isabel Marant x HM black blazer

Givenchy Obsedia crossbody bag

Larsson & Jennings CM silver watch

House of Fraser Mango white halterneck dress

Topshop black strappy heels

If you'd have asked me a couple of years ago, I'd have said I never really wore dresses. Mainly because I worried that they were too girly, too fussy, or didn't allow sufficient outfit options. But these days I find myself wearing dresses all the time, especially during the summer. Why? Firstly they are comfortable: nobody wants a restrictive high waisted skirt in the heat. Secondly there are so many styles out there that I can always find something sufficiently minimalist. And as for outfit options, all it takes is a few killer accessories and nobody will care if you've worn it before. House of Fraser kindly let me choose my favourite from their impressive selection of dresses and I gravitated straight towards this Mango beauty: it's simple, chic and timeless but with a little twist via the unique neckline. Perfect for any summer event.

today i love… the sunday wish list

When you're super pale like me you are naturally suspicious of fake tans; after all there's nothing worse than ending up orange and streaky. It also always seems like a lot of effort. But I've heard good things about this new St. Tropez lotion which you can use in the shower. Minimal fuss and it builds gradually so hopefully minimal orange-ness too. Much safer than the real thing, after all.

I long been a big fan of Marc Jacobs' Splash fragrances. They smell amazing, look amazing and are great value for money. This year he's launched three new scents: Pear, Cotton and Rain. After extensively testing them all, I decided Cotton is my favourite. It's subtle yet memorable, plus you really can't beat that bottle for a minimalist's packaging dream.

3. & Other Stories open toe sandals / £40 (reduced from £79)
The sales are on! For me this always means a ridiculously oversized & Other Stories box arriving on my doorstep. This almost always includes a pair or two of their stellar shoes, which are some of the best on the high street. I love these super wearable yet stylish sandals.

4. Whistles cold shoulder bandeau dress / £120 (reduced from £195)
… And of course I can never resist the Whistles sale either. I've had my eye on this beautiful dress for a while now so needless to say it was straight in my basket when the sales hit. It's not cheap, but it is amazing quality and such a classic. There's a reason it's a cliché to say every woman needs a knockout black dress in her wardrobe: because it's true.

I'm a sucker for a beautiful hand wash and lotion set: nothing makes a bathroom look classier. I'm obsessed with Grown Alchemist's gorgeous orange & vanilla duo, but if you are looking for a budget version, H&M's recently relaunched bath & body range comes with some seriously divine packaging. This hand wash in particular looks way above its tiny price tag.

It's bikini season! My top swimwear pick at the moment is this white Topshop set: simple, classic and good value to boot.

today i'm wearing...

& Other Stories black vest top

Zara nude sandals

Topshop white Jamie jeans

Whistles navy Everett bucket bag

Whistles black blazer

Sorry for my radio silence - have been away in Dubai for a few days. Check my Instagram to see what I've been up to (basically just eating and drinking a lot…) Got back to the miserable rainy English summer and vastly overestimated the temperature in this outfit; it's safe to say my toes were freezing. But who cares when you have a beautiful new navy bucket bag, right?
