today i'm channelling... elin kling

If you've been following my blog at all over the last few months, you'll know how big a fan I am of Swedish stylesetter Elin Kling. With her own fashion magazine, range for H&M and hugely influential blog, Style by Kling, world domination is surely not far off for this staggeringly well-dressed Scandinavian. And I really can't get enough of her flawlessly executed outfits, so much so that this is the third time I've featured her in a "today i'm channelling" post (click the tag below this post to see the others). Elin wore this latest outfit during last week's Stockholm Fashion Week, and it's just perfect. Pairing her standout green snake-print trousers with simple black tailoring, peep-toe shoe boots and statement sunglasses, Elin manages to simultaneously put the trousers centre stage and make them seem supremely wearable. With snakeskin a huge trend this autumn (and always: check out my reptilian picks from back in April here), we could all take some valuable tips from Miss Kling when it comes to how to style this super-versatile print. And it's not hard to recreate pretty much her exact look for yourself. Just team ASOS' statement jeans and super-cool retro sunglasses with timeless black pieces to create a look worthy of a Swedish style icon.
